The Entertainment Book – Auckland Region

I’ve been searching for vouchers here in New Zealand in 2012 to help save money. I chanced upon this book at work, and when I asked my colleague where she got it from, she said she bought it from a non-profit organization. So I searched on the Internet until I found it and bought from Child Cancer Foundation for $65 on 28 July 2012.

This book has helped a lot whenever my partner’s family and I go out to dinner on Wednesday nights. The $65 investment has paid off easily after using 3 restaurant vouchers. The others are simply a bonus!

Because it has helped us a lot, I bought two books this time for this year 2013, one for me and one for my partner’s mom. I like to support different charities, so this year I bought from Room to Read New Zealand (http://www.roomtoread.org/auckland), whose US founder John Wood was featured on the Oprah Winfrey show (http://www.oprah.com/oprahshow/Room-to-Read). As I bought this book in May, they gave me more vouchers for free.

Here’s the 2013-2014 cover:

I can say that this year, there are more complimentary meals available now compared to last year. So this would be a great opportunity to explore more restaurants this year.

The book is divided into 7 categories: Fine and Contemporary Dining; Cafe and Bistro Dining; Casual Restaurant and Family Dining; Informal Dining and Takeaway; Arts, Sports and Attractions; Retail and Local Services; Shopping, Travel, Leisure, Hotels and Resorts. It is really thick!

If you, your family, and friends like to enjoy dinner and drinks at the same time save money, this highly recommended book is still available for those who live in Australia and New Zealand. Simply Google search “Entertainment Book 2013” and you’ll find charitable organizations selling them.

As soon as you receive the book, you need to create a login account in their official website so you will receive updates and more offers.

This is a perfect gift for your loved ones and friends, or even to yourself, at the same time support your favorite charity.

I will be featuring my dining adventures using this book as my guide.
