Dinner @ Indian Summer, Hobsonville

On Wednesday 17 July, my NZ family and I went to Indian Summer for dinner. This restaurant is included in the Entertainment Book for Auckland 2013. This is the second time we’ve dined in this restaurant.

I ordered Mango Lassi, a common Indian cold drink. The way they made it is really smooth and sweet, I can’t get enough of it!

For the mains, Mum and I ordered Butter Chicken.

Chris ordered Fish Moilee while Dad had Prawn Malai Kari

I noticed though while eating my meal that some chicken pieces are charred on the sides. A bit disappointing since I expected Butter Chicken to be cooked perfectly without charring. Also, the rice they served is only on one bowl for everyone to share, not like other Indian restaurants where rice is included with every main ordered, and Indian Summer charged NZ$2 per person. Wow!

Overall, although the Mango Lassi was really nice, I’m not sure if I’d like to come back here.
